Frequently Asked Questions

Can someone find my exact location from my IP?
No. IP geolocation typically resolves to a city or region level, not a street address. The coordinates shown are approximate and usually point to your ISP's local hub, not your physical location.
Does this tool store my IP address?
RapidUtil doesn't record the result of this lookup. The lookup is made directly from your browser to third-party IP services (which see your IP address, as any website you visit does), and your last result is cached in your own browser for up to 24 hours to keep repeat visits fast. Clearing your site data removes it.
Why does it show a VPN or proxy location?
If you're using a VPN, proxy, or Tor, the tool will display the exit node's IP and location, not your real one. Disconnect your VPN to see your actual public IP address.
