Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Your PDFs are merged in your browser. They are never sent to a server and aren't saved, so they disappear when you refresh or close the page.
How do I merge PDF files into one?
Add two or more PDFs, drag them into the order you want, then click Merge PDF Files. The combined PDF downloads automatically, and you can save it again from the Download button.
Can I change the order of the PDFs?
Yes. Drag the handle at the left of a file to move it up or down. On a phone, press and hold the handle for a moment, then drag. With a keyboard, focus the handle, press Space, then use the arrow keys.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and images keep their quality. The merged file is roughly the combined size of the originals.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Remove the password in the app you created the file with, then add the unlocked version here.
Is there a limit on file size?
You can merge up to 100 MB of PDFs in total. Because everything runs on your device, very large files take longer. If you're close to the limit, compress your PDFs first with the PDF Compress tool.
How do I merge only some pages, or add images?
To use only certain pages, extract them first with the PDF Splitter, then merge the results. To include pictures, turn them into a PDF with the Images to PDF tool, then merge it with your other files.
