Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms explain the rules for using RapidUtil. They are written to be read, so please take a minute to go through them.
The short version
- RapidUtil is free to use. Please use it lawfully and don't abuse it.
- The tools are provided as they are, so check important results and keep your original files.
- Your files stay yours. They are processed on your device and never uploaded to us.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Agreeing to these terms
By using RapidUtil you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What RapidUtil is
RapidUtil offers free online tools for working with PDFs, images, text, JSON and similar content. The tools run in your web browser, on your own device. We may add, change or remove tools, or stop the service, at any time and without notice.
Using the tools
You agree to use RapidUtil lawfully and sensibly. In particular, you must not:
- process content you don't have the right to use, or use the tools for anything illegal
- try to disrupt, overload, attack or gain unauthorised access to the site or its services
- scrape the site at a scale that affects other visitors, or copy the site or its tools to offer as your own
- interfere with the ads shown on the site, or click on them in order to give a false impression of interest
We may block access to anyone who misuses the site.
Your files and content
Your files and text are processed on your device and aren't uploaded to RapidUtil, so we don't receive them and we don't claim any rights in them. They remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you process. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
No guarantees
RapidUtil is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make the tools accurate and reliable, but we don't promise that they will be error-free, always available, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Results can contain mistakes. Converted, compressed or merged files may differ from the original, counts and comparisons may be wrong in unusual cases, and IP lookup locations are only approximate. Please check anything important, and keep your original files before you use a tool on them.
Limits of our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, RapidUtil isn't responsible for any loss or damage that results from using the site or its tools, including lost or damaged files or data, or lost time, profit or business. Because the service is free, any liability we do have is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms don't affect your legal rights.
Our content and software
The RapidUtil name, logo, design and code belong to us. You're welcome to use the tools, but please don't copy or redistribute the site. Some parts of the site are made by others and are used under their own licences: the Inter typeface and the Font Awesome icons, both of which are open source. HEIC photos are opened with libheif (licensed under the GNU LGPL v3), which runs in your browser. Its licence text is available at /heic/LICENSE.txt. Text in images is read with Tesseract (licensed under the Apache License 2.0), compiled to WebAssembly by the tesseract.js-core project, with language data from tessdata_fast. Both run in your browser, and their licence texts are available at /ocr/core/LICENSE.txt and /ocr/lang/LICENSE.txt.
Ads and other websites
The site shows advertising provided by Google, and the IP Lookup tool uses outside services. We don't control these, and we aren't responsible for the content of ads, the availability of those services, or any other website the site links to. Your use of them is covered by their own terms and policies.
Age
RapidUtil is a general-purpose site and isn't aimed at children under 13. If you are under 18, please use the site with a parent or guardian's permission.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and the new version applies from that date. By continuing to use the site you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute connected with the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
